ASX-listed Kingsrose Mining Limited announced Friday the appointment of experienced mining executive Scott Huffadine as Managing Director, effective from 13 January.

The company said in a statement that Huffadine is a geologist with more than 20 years experience in the resources industry, specifically in project management, geology and executive management.

He was most recently the Deputy Chief Executive at Straits Resources and has also held several other key management positions including Managing Director of Westgold Resources and Executive Director and Chief Operating officer at Metals X Limited.

Huffadine?s management roles have ranged from operational start-‐ups involving open pit and underground mining projects through to large integrated operations in gold and base metals.

Kingsrose Chairman John Morris said the company was delighted to have secured someone of Huffadine?s caliber to lead the management team as the ramp-‐up of its Talang Santo mine in Indonesia gained momentum.
