ASX-listed Kingsrose Mining Limited said Tuesday that it expected to secure final permits required to transition to full production at the Talang Santo gold mine in southern Sumatra by the end of the June 2014 quarter.
Kingsrose said in a statement that its 85 percent-owned Indonesian subsidiary PT Natarang Mining (PTNM) has submitted all relevant documentation as requested by the Indonesian regulatory authorities arising from reviews over the last two months and has met all technical requirements relating to the grant of the extension to the existing project environmental assessment (AMDAL).
Currently the environmental license conditions of the extension to the project AMDAL are being drafted within the Indonesian Ministry of Environment. This draft is the final piece of documentation required prior to receipt of ministerial approval.
The grant of the separate forestry ?borrow and use? or better known under the Bahasa term of ?pinjam pakai? permit is subject to the confirmation of the environmental license conditions. All other elements of the forestry permit for the Talang Santo mine within the Way Linggo gold project had been previously submitted.
Kingsrose had expected approvals to allow the ramping-up of production at the Talang Santo mine by the end of April. The timing of this is still linked to the granting of the final permits, receipt of which, is expected by the end of the June 2014 quarter.
