ASX-listed Kingsrose Mining Ltd announced Friday that it has received the first of the two outstanding permits required for production at the Talang Santo gold mine in southern Sumatra to recommence.
Kingsrose?s 85 percent owned Indonesian subsidiary PT Natarang Mining (NTM) has now received ministerial approval for the extension to the existing project environmental assessment (AMDAL), the company said.
The grant of the final and separate forestry ?borrow and use? or ?pinjam pakai? permit is now being processed for approval by the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry and is anticipated to be received by the end of June 2014, the company added.
?Granting of the environmental license represents a significant milestone in the permitting process and a step close to the resumption of production at the Way Linggo Project,? said Kingsrose Managing Director Scott Huffadine.
?Once the pinjam pakai is granted, the company anticipates a ramp up to full production over a 3 month period.?
