ASX-listed Kingsrose Mining Ltd said that high grade assays returned from Splay vein face sampling shows potential for second mineralized zone at its Talang Santo mine within the Way Linggo gold project in southern Sumatra.
As previously reported, diamond drilling in December 2013 defined a Splay vein in close proximity to the current 3 Level development at the Talang Santo Mine. An exploration drive was subsequently developed to evaluate the hydrological, geotechnical and geological aspects within the Hanging Wall of the ore body.
?The consistent high gold and silver grades returned from face sampling has confirmed the continuity of a second high grade mineralized zone at Talang Santo,? Kingsrose said in a statement Thursday.
Managing Director Scott Huffadine commented; ?These results continue to support our view that Talang Santo is a significantly larger system than that seen at the Way Linggo Mine. The company intends to carry out the work required to define the extent of the system upon completion of permitting.?
High grade assays returned from Splay vein face sampling include:
o 1.6m @ 200.47 g/t Au & 614.42 g/t Ag;
o 1.9m @ 158.12 g/t Au & 626.20 g/t Ag;
o 1.9m @ 51.23 g/t Au & 79.79 g/t Ag;
o 2.1m @ 48.40 g/t Au & 183.68 g/t Ag; and
o 2.5m @ 114.97 g/t Au & 338.33.
