Kitadin Tandung mine to increase output in 2013

IDX-listed coal miner group PT Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITM) expects to boost coal output to 3-3.5 million tons in 2013 from its Kitadin Tandung Mayang mine in East Kutai regency, East Kalimantan, the company?s official told Petromindo.com.
The company plans to produce around 2.5 million tons this year.
As of November, the mine has produced 2.3 million tons.
?We are on track to meet this year?s target,? the official who declined to be named said.
Tandung Mayang mine started commercial production in Q3 2011 with total coal output of 450,000 tons last year.
The mine has a high CV coal (6,800 kcal/kg, adb) with total sulphur content of 1.5%.
