Kodeco, CNOOC strike oil in E. Java

CNOOC Limited announced on Wednesday an oil discovery in Madura Block, East Java.
?KE 40 was discovered by Wildcat KE 40-1. Pay zones in the Kujung III Formation flowed 2,400 barrels of oil and 1.7 million cubic feet of gas per day on a one inch choke,? said the company in a statement.
The company has a 25 percent working interest in the Block operated by Korea?s Kodeco Energy Company, Ltd. (alex)
