Kodeco develops six new oil and gas fields

PT Kodeco Energy will develop six more oil and gas fields in its offshore Madura block, East Java in a bid to further increase its oil and gas production, the company’s executive has said.

Imron Asjhari, the company’s senior manager for technology, said on Monday that the new oil and gas fields which would be developed included the KE-30, KE-54-KE-38, KE-39, KE-32 and Poleng C fields.

“The company is currently launching the tenders for the construction of the exploration facilities,” he said, adding that the company expected to produce 200 BBTUD of gas per day and 25,000 barrels of oil per day from the six oil and gas fields.

At present, the company produces crude oil of about 14,000 barrels per day and 112.8 MMSCFD (140 BBTUD) from five fields including KE-40, KE-5, KE-2, KE-23 and Poleng A and B.

He said that the crude oil produced from the five fields were transmitted to the Madura Jaya’s receiving terminal while the gas to Gresik to provide additional supply for PLN and PGN. (dino)
