Kodeco production hits new record

South Korean oil, gas firm Kodeco Energy Indonesia has recorded highest ever production from its offshore East Java blocks since March 23 this year.

According to BPMIGAS website, the Company produced 28,800 barrels per day of oil and 205 MMCFD of gas or equal to 63,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD).

According to the website, the company is now East Java?s top gas producer, producing 43 percent of the province?s gas.

Kodeco VP Operations Imron Asjhari was quoted by the website as saying that production increase was achieved after the Company activated two new compressors at KE-38 field.

He said Kodeco will continue effort to further increase production this year by drilling additional wells and enhancing production facilities.

Kodeco operates two blocks offshore East Java namely West Madura PSC and Poleng TAC. (alex)
