Kodeco?s Poleng oil, gas production running at normal capacity

?Currently, the pipeline is running at normal capacity,? the agency's expert advisor Dodi Hidayat told Petromindo.Com on Monday.
The leakage was discovered in early April, 2008. Dodi said on April 8 the leakage had forced Kodeco to cut down Poleng's oil and gas output.
?The leakage is occurring on the pipeline linking the CW platform to the DW platform, which normally produces 9,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd). Including the KL5 field, which normally produces 5,000 bpd, there is thus a total loss of 14,000 bopd in potential output," Dodi further said in May 2008.
As a result of the leakage, the TAC also suspended gas productions. Normally, the TAC field produces 60 MMCFD of gas.
Gas from Poleng together with gas from nearby West Madura PSC, which is also operated by Kodeco, is transmitted through 14-inch 65-km pipeline to onshore processing facility in industrial city of Gresik. Kodeco sold its gas to state-owned gas distribution firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and state owned fertilizer producer PT Petrokimia Gresik. (Bernard)
