Spokesperson Elan Subiantoro told Petromindo.Com that the 6 months? time will be needed to prepare new budget (WP&B) and authorization for expenditure (AFE) to repair the platform, tendering process and repair works itself.
An unidentified passing cargo ship hit KE40 production platform in August 2010, causing damage that put oil and gas production on halt.
The incident has put production stoppage on 1,600 BPD of oil and 13 MMCFD of gas from three production wells. Other production facilities remained intact and working normally. Normally, the block produced 25,000 BOPD. (bernard)
