Koko Babak mini hydro power project to start operation in 2018

Independent power producer PT Sumber Daya Investasi expects its 2.3 MW PLTMH Koko Babak mini hydro power plant project in Lombok to start operation next year.

President Director of Sumber Daya, Sanni Megiawati Ningsih told Petromindo.com on Thursday that construction progress of the project has reached 75 percent. ?It will start operation next year,? she said.

Sanni said that the Rp 86.79 billion power plant uses technology from China and the project was financed via loans from Bank Jatim. The electricity output will be sold to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN at a price of 10.40 US cents per kWh.

PLTMH Koko Babak is the company?s second power plant project after the PLTMH Koko Gandhi, which started operation in 2011.
