Komipo gets Tanjung Jati B O&M contract

South Korean electricity firm Korea Midland Power Co. (Komipo) said Thursday that it has won a US$844 million deal to operate two coal power plants in Indonesia, Yonhap reported.
Under the deal with the state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), Komipo, a unit of the state-run Korea Electric Power Corp., will operate and maintain two 660-megawatt coal-fired power plants for 22 years, the company said.
The plants, located at the Tanjung Jati Power Plant complex, in central Java, will be completed by January 2012, the South Korean company said. (*)
