KOMIPO opens tender for 210kt of sub-bituminous coal

To Bid for Sub-Bituminous Coal

Korea Midland Power Co. Ltd.(KOMIPO) is inviting bids for the supply of coal from qualified suppliers on ITB (Ref. Attached) for its power plant as follows,

ITB no. : KOMIPO-Bid Notice-2011-7

The quantity of coal to be purchased is 210,000 Metric Tons (MT). The coal shall be shipped at the port of loading in accordance with the following schedule:

NAR: SP 4,600kcal/kg
Quantity (MT): 210,000
Price: One Single Fixed Price

Shipping Schedule:
February, 2012 : 1(one) cargo
March, 2012 : 1(one) cargo
April, 2012 : 1(one) cargo

Price shall be on both FOBT and CFR basis and KOMIPO reserves the right to award the contract on either a FOB or a CFR basis subject to its evaluation. Bidders are requested to offer with quotation in a single fixed price up to feasible amount of coal in lots of 70,000MT(+/-10%).

The coal shall be discharged at Boreyong plant port unless otherwise notified to Bidders.

Bid closing date: 14:00 p.m. on December 8, 2011. (Korean Standard Time)

Qualification of Bidder : Refer to the attached ITB

Compliance with Invitation to Bid
Bidders shall prepare and submit the Bid in compliance with the procedures and requirements as provided in this ITB. Any failure to do so may give KOMIPO a reason to reject or to unfavorably evaluate the Bid. Bidders shall be regarded as having been thoroughly acquainted with and having accepted all the contents of the ITB. Upon submission of Bid documents, Bidders are thereafter regarded as having agreed to fully comply with the terms and conditions of the contract as attached in the Invitation to Bid. Bidders shall submit the Bids separately as they want to participate in more than one tender.
