Oil company Kondur Petroleum SA will process toxic oil waste into briquette in cooperation with PT Dalton Chemindo Mandiri to take the advantage of the rise in the demand for energy alternative for household use, Investor Daily reported on Thursday.
The cooperation agreement was signed in Jakarta on Wednesday by director of Dalton Chemindo Nilmansyah John and Kondur's Vice President for Operation and Assets Bagus C. Kartika.
Bagus said that the two companies would use the technology developed by the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Indonesia in processing the toxic oil waste into briquette.
He said that the technology would not only be able to solve the problem related to the company's toxic oil waste but also could help provide alternative energy for households in the country. (*)
