Korea? Kospo to bid out 300,000 tons coal supply: Report

After nearly a year of absence in the spot market, Korea Southern Power (Kospo) finally decided to hold a spot tender for 300,000 metric tons (mt) on July 11 for delivery August 1 to September 30, Platts reported Monday.
Bidders in the open, international tender, Kospo-Coal-2003-SP01, may offer in lots of 60,000 mt on both FOB and CIF basis.
Coal being sought must have the following specifications: calorific value of minimum 5,350 kcal/kg NAR, total moisture of 15% maximum as received, volatile matter of 22% to 45% air dried basis, ash content of 17% maximum air dried basis, and total sulfur of 1% maximum as received.
