Korea plans solar power plant project in Toba Lake

The Korean Environmental Industry and Technology Institute (KEITI) has expressed interest to develop a floating solar power plant in Toba Lake, North Sumatra, Antaranews.com reported Saturday.
KEITI officials met with the provincial administration on Friday, proposing the planned 2 MW solar power plant, with estimated investment of US$200 million.
KEITI official Kyung Nam Shin said the institute was set to cooperate with local companies and administration to develop the project, which will apply an environmental-friendly technology which has been applied in South Korea and Japan. (*)
