Korea's KOSPO opens tender for 240,000 tons of coal

KOSPO is inviting a bid for the supply of coal from qualified suppliers on ITB and invites your company to submit a bid to supply coal for Hadong Power Plants as follows,
1. Tender No. : KOSPO-Coal-2006-SP01
2. Quantity to be procured : 240,000 MT
3. Procurement Method : International Bidding
4. Delevery Period : February 25, 2006 ~ April 15, 2006
5. Dead Line of Bidding is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. (Korean Standard Time)
6. Qualification : Coal producers, marketing companies or traders those who is qualified to participate in the ITB.

KOSPO announces following changes in the ITB
1) 1.5-2 Quality Specifications for Sub-bituminous coal (Clause 1 General)
The Net Calorific Value(As Received Basis) of Quality Specification for sub-bituminous coal (based on ASTM standards) is changed into Min. 4,500 kcal/kg
2) Clause 5 Performance Bond
In case Sellers have faithful supply record to five generation companies of KOSPO, KOMIPO,KOWEPO, KOSEP and KEWESPO in recent three year, then KOSPO can exempt the seller from the Performance Bond.
We are very sorry for inconvenience caused.
