South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia Kim Young-sun said that his government would encourage miners in his country to invest more in Indonesia.
The ambassador said that more investment and cooperation in mining sector would be done with Indonesia in the future as his country lacks natural resources of this kind.
"There is a great potential for cooperation in the field of mining. So on G to G level we have a very close consultation and discussion to encourage more investors, joint venture or cooperation between the business of two countries. so let's work together," told Petromindo.com as saying at the Vice Presidential Palace.
South Korea would share its better technology with Indonesia, said Kim.
However, he suggested that Indonesian government should continue to improve investment climate. "Of course Indonesia is a good Korean destination for investment, but on the part of Indonesia you should improve the condition or environment for the foreign investors," said Kim.
