KP Electric aims to increase sales of transformers by 30%

South Korea?s KP Electric aims to increase sales of power transformers in Indonesia by 30 percent this year to around US$2 million, Kontan reported on Thursday.

The paper quoted Kim Jeong Hoon, General Manager for Overseas Sales and Marketing at KP Electric, as saying that the company plans to introduce its new transformer product called amorphous metal transformer to help meet the higher sales target.

KP Electric has been selling cast resin transformers in the Indonesian market teaming up with local transformer makers Trafindo and Sintra.

Kim said that the new amorphous metal transformer has better quality than the current product. He added that the company is also considering to cooperate with local firms in selling the new product in the Indonesian market. (*)
