KPC asked to help in repairing local road

The office of the Ministry of Public Works in East Kutai regency, in East Kalimantan province, is asking the financial help of coal mining firm PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) to repair bad roads in the Sangatta area.

Office head Nurisyarifuddin said that the local public works office currently had no funding to repair the roads.

He expected KPC to participate until the government disbursed its second budget for the road repair.

He said that the road would be further damaged if the repair was to wait until the government budget was disbursed.

Meanwhile, local politician Adi Sangaria urged KPC to immediately provide its assistance in the road repair, because the company to transport its coal products also used part of the Sangatta road. (*)
