KPC bags coal supply order from Tanjung Jati B

State electricity firm PLN selected East Kalimantan coal miner PT.Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) to supply 1MTPA of coal for Tanjung Jati B power plant in Central Java.

A PLN official who declined to be named said that the miner will be awarded contract for 5 years to supply medium CV coal to the power plant.

A Tanjung Jati B official said earlier that first shipment for the contract might be started May or June this year.

PLN?s Logistic Head Pudji Widodo told Petromindo.Com on March 2, 2009 that KPC offered lowest price from the seven bidders participated in the tender. He did not give further detail.

Other bidders in the tender included PT. Indominco Mandiri, PT.Anugerah Bara Kaltim and PT.Jembayan Muara Bara.
