KPC hopeful to meet coal production target

East Kalimantan coal giant PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) is hopeful to be able to meet this year?s coal production target of 60 million tons as output in the first nine months has already reached 48 million tons.
This was revealed by KPC CEO, Saptari Hoedaja to Petromindo.com on Tuesday. ?Realized output has reached 48 million tons,:? he said.
He declined to disclose next year?s coal output target as the company has yet to submit the 2018 work program and budget to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
KPC operates 90,938 ha of coal concession in Sangatta, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province, according to company website.
