KPC lifts force majeure
Thursday, August 24 2000 - 09:00 AM WIB
Kaltim Prima Coal announced that it had lifted the state of Force Majeure on Sales Contracts at noon, mid Indonesian time, Thursday 24th August.
"Although SBSI and KPC are yet to sign a formal agreement, we are optimistic that SBSI will not in future use blockade of operations as an industrial weapon", commented President Director Grant Thorne.
SBSI lifted its blockade of KPC's operation on 18th August, but it has taken time to build a stock of coal at the port, sufficient to resume reloading of vessels.
