KPC records production increase in 2001

East Kalimantan based coal mining giant PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) recorded production increase from 13.4 million tons in 2000 to 15.06 million tons in 2001.
Bambang said production during November and December 2001 was affected by heavy rainfall.
KPC spokesperson Bambang Susanto told Petromindo.com in an interview on Tuesday that for 2002, the company planned to produce 17 million tons.
KPC is equally owned by Rio Tinto and BP Plc. The company is set to divest 51 percent of its stake to Indonesian owned business entities this year. (godang)
