KPC reports H1 production

East Kalimantan coal producer PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) produced 10.63 million tons of coal in the first half of 2004, lower than production target.
During the first quarter, KPC only managed to produce 4.684 million out of targeted output of 5.159 million tons due to heavy rains that slowed down production, said Acting Assistant Manager Public Affair Rurie Wuyandari. In the second quarter, she said, KPC produced 5.379 million tons out of 5.444 million tons target.
KPC is targeting to produce around 25 million tons of coal this year. (godang)
