KPC reports Q1 production

East Kalimantan coal producer PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) conveyed 4.684 million tons of coal in the first quarter of 2004, KPC spokesperson Dradjat Pandjawi told Petromindo.Com Wednesday.
Dradjat said in the second quarter of this year, KPC planned to convey 5.5 million tons of coal.
KPC, which is controlled by JSX-listed Bumi Resources, had been approved by the government to produce 26 million tons of coal this year. Some 6 million tons is expected to come from new Bengalon mine, which will start production second half of this year. (godang)
