KPC?s Bendili mine to commence production November

Kaltim Prima Coal?s Bendili mine is expected to commence coal production in November this year and preparation to exploit the mine is underway.
A PT. Pama Persada Nusantara?s official told Petromindo.Com that the mine is expected to produce 2 million tons in 2005, ramping up to 6-7 million tons per year within the next few years.
Pama is the contractor for Bendili mine with 15-years contract worth US$ 1 billion. Pama is also responsible for Bendili?s overburden Removal.
The mine will be producing coal of Prima brand, which has calorific value of around 6,800 Kcal/kg. (alex)
