Coal giant company PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) in East Kalimantan has reached final agreement with its protesting employees grouped in the SBSI labor union, the local Kaltim Post daily reported.
The agreement was reached during a meeting at the East Kalimantan Governor office. But the paper didn't say when the agreement was reached.
The meeting was also participated by the provincial police chief Bachrumsyah Kasman.
Hundreds of KPC employees had recently staged a protest and strike, which caused disruption in the company's coal production. The disruption had prompted KPC to announce a force majeure status. (*)
