KPC to launch book on economic impacts of its operation

East Kalimantan-based coal mining giant PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) will launch on Sept 17 a book on the economic impacts of the company, it said on Wednesday.   
The book is entitled ?Report on the Study of Economic Impacts of PT. Kaltim Prima Coal?, which contains the results of a research conducted by the economic and community research center of University of Indonesia (LPEM-FEUI).
The book launching will be coupled with a discussion on the economic impacts of mining. Speakers in the discussion forum will include Geology and Mineral Resources Director General Wimpy S. Tjetjep, East Kutai Regent Awang Faroek Ishak and LPEM-FEUI?s senior staff Bambang PS Brodjonegoro.
KPC, Indonesia?s most profitable coal miner, operates a huge coalmine in East Kutai, East kalimantan province. (leo)
