KPC wins award for environmental management

Coal mining giant Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) wins for the second time the top award for environmental management in East Kalimantan coal mining industry, the local Kaltim Post daily reported on Sunday.
The paper said that the award was handed over by East Kalimantan Governor Suwarna AF.
It added that the provincial Bapedalda environmental watchdog evaluated 12 of the coal mining companies in East Kalimantan, and KPC turned out to have the best environmental protection program.
Last year, KPC also won the same award.(*)
