In an effort to prevent corruption at the oil and gas sector, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday signed an MoU with Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BPMIGAS). The document was signed by KPK charman Busyro Muqoddas and BPMIGAS chief R Priyono.
In his speech, Busyro said the MoU was designed to establish a greater cooperation and coordination between the two agencies. The MoU covers supervision and control over the upstream oil and gas activities, as well as campaigns towards corruption eradication practices within the sector.
?There will be a follow-up to this MoU. In particular on important issues such as cost recovery supervision,? he said.
Priyono said that BPMigas was ready to coordinate with KPK, as the cooperation was a very positive thing. (dadan)
