KPK questions MEMR Secretary General

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today summoned the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) Waryono Karno for questioning in relation to allaged corruption committed by the now suspended chairman of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Rudi Rubiandini.
Waryono was questioned as a witness in the high profile graft scandal, where Rudi was caught red handed by the KPK in August of receiving bribe money from an official of Kernel Oil, a Singapore-based oil trader. The KPK found cash worth US$200,000 at Karyono?s office when the commission launched a follow-up investigation after apprehending Rudi.
?He was questioned as a witness to RR (Rudi Rubiandini),? said Head of Information and Media at KPK, Priharsa Nugraha. (*)
