KPK questions Pertamina?s Karen as witness in bribery scandal

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned for the second time President Director of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Karen Agustiawan, today as a witness in a bribery case allegedly involving former secretary general of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Waryono Karno.
Karen arrived at the KPK headquarters at about 9.30 this morning, accompanied by lawyer Rudi Alfonso. ?To be questioned as a witness for suspect WK,? Rudi said, referring to Waryono Karno.
Waryono has been allegedly involved in a high profile bribery case, where the now suspended chairman of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Rudi Rubiandini, has been caught red handed by the KPK of receiving bribe money from Singapore-based oil trader Kernel Oil. KPK investigators discovered U$$200,000 cash at Waryono?s office a few days after the arrest of Rudi.
KPK questioned Karen in November last year as a witness in the bribery scandal involving Rudi. (*)
