KPK to announce Jero?s status next week

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would announce the legal status of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik next week in relation to a number of graft cases at the ministry, reports said Friday.

?We have conducted a case expose on JW. I cannot disclose anything now about the result. I will let the spokesman announce it next week,? KPK commissioner Bambang Widjojanto said at the KPK headquarters on Thursday, referring to the minister by his initials, as quoted by The Jakarta Post.

A case expose is the phase of investigation where KPK leaders and investigators decide whether an ongoing investigation has found enough evidence to name someone a graft suspect. As of Thursday, the KPK was investigating four graft cases at the ministry that could implicate Jero, who is also a senior member of the Democrat Party, given his role as the highest authority at the ministry.
