Krakatau hopes to sign EPC contract for power plant boiler in March

PT Krakatau Daya Listrik (KDL), a subsidiary of IDX-listed steel maker PT Krakatau Steel Tbk, hopes to soon conclude the ongoing tender to select the EPC contractor for the provision of boiler for a 2x80 MW coal-fired power plant in Cilegon, Banten.

The company expects to sign the contract with the winning bidder in March of this year.

Indra Pinem, Planning and Commerce Director at KDL told Petromindo.com on Monday that the tender process is still ongoing, participated by six companies.

"Now, the bidding is in the process of technical clarification, and we expect to have the winner soon and is expected to sign the contract with the EPC winner in March this year," he said. The project is located at Krakatau?s steel plant complex in Cilegon.
