Kresna Inti Cipta to start producing coal in 2013

Indonesia coal miner, PT Kresna Inti Cipta plans to commence production of high CV coal from its Milanau mine in East Kalimantan before the end of next year.

Operation Director of Kresna Inti Cipta, Priyo P. Soemarno, said that the company has 2,000 hectares of concession which is currently in exploration stage, adding that the coal is of 7,000 kcal/kg cv. "We have conducted the exploration for 6 months and the prospect is very good with the CV of coal being above 7,000," Priyo told petromindo.com.

Priyo said that the company expected to initially produce 100,000 tons of coal monthly starting in 2013.

"We will produce and ramp up gradually with a target to have production up to 2 millions tons annually," he said.
