Kresna Inti's Penajam sites to start trial production this year

Indonesia coal miner company, PT Kresna Inti Cipta is set to conduct a trial production from its mine at Penajam, East Kalimantan by this year end.

Operation Director of the company Priyo P. Soemarno said that coal from Penajam mine has medium CV of 5,800 kcal/kg.

"We are going to commence the trial production with initial target of 100,000 tons per month by the end of this year," Priyo told petromindo.com.

"Once the production process bocomes stable, we expect to ramp it up to 3 million tons per annum."

He said that its mining activities at Penajam would be conducted through a joint venture with local company as a partner.
