KrisEnergy (Sakti) B.V., a unit of SGX-listed KrisEnergy Ltd, plans to carry out 2D and 3D seismic activities at the Sakti block, offshore East Java.

The company said in a tender document issued Wednesday that the offshore 2D seismic survey will stretch 1,200 kilometers, while the offshore 3D seismic will cover 400 square kilometers.

The company was conducting tender for survey services and marine seismic procurement.

KrisEnergy announced in February of this year that it has been awarded the operatorship and a 95 percent working interest in the Sakti PSC, where the company is actively developing gas aggregation opportunities. The other participant is Golden Heaven Jaya Ltd with a 5 percent working interest.

The Sakti exploration block covers 4,974 sq km in the East Java Sea over the western margin of the East Java Basin, Bawean Arch and the Muriah Trough. Water depths in the area are between 50 and 60 meters. The block is proximal to the KrisEnergy operated Bulu PSC and East Muriah PSC, where the company is currently planning the development of the Lengo and East Lengo gas discoveries, respectively.
