KS Orka to soon drill exploration well in Sokoria geothermal project

SGX-listed KS Orka Renewables Pte Ltd is planning to drill an exploration well at the 30 MW PLTP Sokoria geothermal power plant project in Flores at the end of this month.

?Currently (the civil works) construction is ongoing in Sokoria. Drilling of exploration well is planned to be done in the end of March. Hopefully it can run according to plan,? KS Orka Spokeswoman Syahrini said to Petromindo.com on Thursday.

Syahrini said earlier that once the exploration drilling is completed, it will be immediately followed with well testing as the exploration period nearly expires. She added that the exploration program will then be followed with exploitation drilling.

KS Orka owns 95 percent interest in the Sokoria geothermal project, while the remainders are held by Bakrie and Xped.
