Kuang well flows 4.49 mmscfd at drill stem test

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), said it had carried out at a drill stem test (DST) on gas discovered at Kuang (KAG)-A2, which is part of the Paku Gajah Development Project (PGDP), in South Sumatra province.

?The well flowed 4.49 mmscfd of gas without liquid during DST performed at 1.419?1.422 m & 1.423?1.425 m intervals,? Musalam Latuconsina, PGDP?s General Manager, said in a statement.

The well was spudded on June 17, 2016 using the 750 HP EMSCO D?2/M rig owned by PT Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia (PDSI). The drilling has reached the depth of 1,481 m, according to the statement.

KAG-A2 is located in Mandala village, Peninjauan district, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) regency, 70 km southeast of Prabumulih city.

PGDP plans to drill six wells this year, namely PDW?8, KAG?A2, KAG?A3, KAG?A1, TSM?6, and KRD?3. KAG-A2 is the second well that has been drilled this year. It was drilled along with the third well TSM-6, which was drilled using different rig. At present, Paku Gajah field produces 45.33 mmscfd of gas and 983.41 barrels of condensate per day (bcpd).
