Kufpec may deepen Seram?s Lola Kecil exploration well

Kuwaiti national oil company Kufpec has drilled Lola Kecil exploration well in Seram production sharing contract area to the depth of 5, 635 feet, and may drill deeper, according to partner Australia?s Kalrez energy limited.

The initial well prognosis was to drill to a total depth of 5,190 feet, with the top of the target Manusela Carbonate at 4,476 feet.

?Kufpec is currently reviewing the structural model to assess potential for the Manusela to be deeper, and may run further testing including in hole seismic. If the results indicate the potential for a deeper target, drilling may continue,? said kalrez in a statement.

Kufpec (Indonesia) Limited, the block?s operator has 97.5 percent working interst in Seram block, while Kalrez holds the remaining 2.5 percent. (alex)
