Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration (KUFPEC) together with partners, will drill two exploratory wells in Natuna Sea Block A PSC offshore west Natuna, a company executive said on Tuesday.

?First drilling will start at the end of this month, using Sedco Forex 603 semi submersible rig,? said KUFPEC Indonesia president David G.S. Lamb.

Lamb said there was no further plan to drill additional exploratory well in the block in 2003.

Natuna Sea Block A PSC is a gas-producing block, which is piped to Singapore and is in negotiation to pipe gas to Malaysia.

UK independent oil company Premier Oil is the block operator with 28.7 percent working interest. KUFPEC, Amerada Hess and Petronas have 33.3 percent, 23 percent and 15 percent, respectively. (alex)
