Kunci Hidro aims for power plant project to start operation in 2018

Independent power producer PT Kunci Hidro Energi has set a target of its mini hydro power plant (PLTM) project with capacity of 0.9 MW in Semarang, Central Java, to start operation in 2018.
?Construction progress has reached around 50 percent. Hopefully, next year it could start operation,? said Director of Kunci Hidro, Wina Setiani to Petromindo.com on Friday, following signing of power purchase agreement for the project with state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
He added that financial close is expected to be concluded within the next two months. He said that the company allocates around Rp 29 billion of internal funds for the project
Under the 25-year PPA. Kunci Hidro will sell electricity from the power plant to PLN at a tariff of 6.25 US cents per kWh.
