ASX-listed company Kupang Resources Limited announced that it has received grade analysis results from a bulk sample taken from one of the existing stockpiles near its Kupang project.
Preliminary sizing and grade analysis on a 250kg bulk sample was made by PT Geoservices LTD - GeoAssay Laboratory in Jakarta.
The screened size fractions used in the laboratory sizing were 50mm, 25mm, 13mm, 5mm, 2mm and <2mm.
It said that the results indicate that from the grid sampled material, the product yield or lump product expected as a percentage of total material sampled is over 95% for the over 5mm size range after crushing.
This is assumed to represent the final product. For the target range the average grades contained in the final laboratory product which is indicative of potential product grades possible was as follows:
Manganese 55% (Mn02 86%) Iron (Fe) 0.9% Alumina (Al203) 1.4% Phosphorus (P) 0.07%.
Executive Director Mr Tony Sage said ?These results indicate that material is capable of being converted into a very high grade Manganese oxide product for the Manganese alloy market exists in stockpiles and is available for immediate processing in the Kupang area.?
