Kutai Energi to boost coal output next year

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Kutai Energi, a coal unit of PT Toba Sejahtra is targeting to increase its coal production to 1 million tonnes of coal next year from around 300,000 tonnes in this year, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.
The official said that the mine, which is located in Kutai Kartanegara regency has started coal production in April this year. The mine is currently building mine infrastructure to boost its coal output.
The coal will be hauled to Dondang river and from the river will be shipped to transshipment point in Muara Jawa, the official said.
Toba Sejahtra is planning to float 20-30% of its shares at the Indonesian Exchange (IDX) to get US$200-400 million funds in the fourth quarter of this year.
Toba Sejahtra is controlled by Luhut Panjaitan, a respected retired army general. (denny)
