Kuwait invests in Indonesia's oil business

Kuwaiti Minister of Trade, Industry and Social Services Abdul Wahab Al-Wazzan said Kuwait's Kupfec was investing in Indonesia's oil sector and considering its oil business expansion into Indonesia's downstream oil industries.
Speaking to reporters after meeting with President Abdurrahman Wahid on Wednesday, Al-Wazzan explained that he had talked with a number of Indonesian ministers about possible diversification of Kuwait investment in Indonesia.
"About the investment, I have discussed it with related Indonesian ministers. Today (Wednesday), I will talk with some other ministers, and tomorrow (Thursday), I will continue the talks (with Indonesian ministers) to discuss about diversification of investment in Indonesia," he said.
He said his visit to Indonesia was an effort to improve trade and investment relations between Kuwait and Indonesia. (*)
