Lampung FSRU begins gas supply to Muara Tawar power plant

The paper quoted PGN spokesman Irwan Andriatmanto as saying that the Lampung FSRU has yet to enter commercial operation as it is still at the commissioning stage, but has already started supplying gas to the Muara Tawar plant, albeit at a limited volume.
He said that the Lampung FSRU has received 1 cargo of LNG from the Tangguh LNG plant in Papua for the commissioning stage. He added that this year, the Lampung FSRU is expected to obtain 3 cargoes of LNG from the Tangguh plant, but which has yet to fill the entire 240 mmscfd maximum capacity of the FSRU.
Irwan said that LNG supply for the Lampung FSRU will gradually be increased going forward. Next year, the LNG supply will increase to 14 cargoes.
PGN has signed gas sale agreement with state-owned electricity firm PLN, so far the only customer of the facility. Irwan said that PGN will look for other customers including industries in Lampung.
