Lampung power plant to start operation next month

State-owned electricity company PT PLN said that the commercial operation date for the first unit of a 2x100 MW coal-fired power plant in South Lampung, Lampung Province, is scheduled for early December, while the second unit early next year.
This was said by the company in a statement released following a visit by President Joko Widodo to the project on Tuesday.
PLN said that installed power capacity in Lampung currently stands at 828 MW, with peak load at 819.6 MW, and supply reserves of 8.4 MW. Power supply in Lampung comes from generating plants in the province (538 MW), and supply from neighboring South Sumatra Province (290 MW).
