Lanco seeks more coal from Indonesia

Indian firm Lanco Power Ltd. said that Indonesia coal producers supply 3 million tonnes of coal per annum of total 12 million tonnes per annum required by the company to generate 3,900 MW of electricity from its coal-fired power plants in India.
Lanco?s official told Petromindo.Com that the 3 million tonnes from Indonesia were supplied by a number of coal producers, including PT Berau Coal and PT Indo Tambangraya Megah.
According to the official, Lanco still needs other coal producers to fulfill its coal procurement for next year. ?We look for 5,200-5,000 kcal/kg (GAR),? the official said without giving the figure amount. (denny)
