Land acquisition for Arun-Belawan pipeline project underway

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina that is in charge of installing the 350 km pipeline in northern Sumatra, said that it is still processing necessary permits and carrying out land acquisition.

The pipeline project, which will link Arun in Aceh to Belawan in North Sumatra, is a part of the Arun LNG plant revitalization project carried out by Pertamina.

?Pertagas, while waiting for FID (final investment decision) from Pertamina, is in the process of securing necessary licenses and land for the Arun-Belawan gas pipeline,? Pertagas Corporate Secrerary Eko told petromindo.com.

Eko said the FID is expected to be approved before the year ends.
